EduWorld Academy is an education platform serving 150,000 students that had outgrown its outdated Moodle-based infrastructure. The legacy system offered no AI-driven personalisation, a poor mobile experience, and minimal analytics — leaving the platform unable to compete with modern, mobile-first learning experiences students now expect.
What We Set Out to Build
EduWorld Academy needed to replace an aging Moodle deployment with a custom-built LMS capable of serving 150,000 students with the kind of personalised, mobile-first experience that drives real engagement and course completion — something the legacy platform simply couldn't deliver.
At the core of the new platform is an AI-powered learning path engine that adapts the sequence and pacing of course content to each student's demonstrated proficiency and learning speed, rather than forcing every student through an identical, one-size-fits-all curriculum. Live streaming brings real-time instructor-led sessions directly into the platform, while an AI quiz generator creates assessment questions automatically from course content, dramatically reducing instructor prep time.
Progress analytics give both students and instructors visibility into performance trends, completion rates, and areas where a student might be struggling — enabling timely intervention rather than discovering problems only at final assessment. A fully integrated payment system handles course enrollment and subscription billing natively, removing the friction of external payment redirects that had been part of the old Moodle setup. The result is a platform students actually want to use, reflected in a 4.9/5 app store rating and more than double the course completion rate of the system it replaced.
