What We Set Out to Build
Wooden Sole needed an e-commerce platform that could handle something most furniture sites avoid: real customisation at scale. Rather than selling fixed SKUs only, the platform lets customers choose wood type (Solid wood, Sheesham, Mango, Acacia, Plywood), fabric (Cotton, Printed, Velvet, Leatherette), and finish (Honey, Walnut, Natural, Distressed) across an enormous catalogue spanning bedroom, living room, dining room, study, and entrance furniture.
The platform is organised around both room type and furniture function โ storage beds, platform beds, poster beds, and diwan beds in the bedroom category; 1-3 seater sofas, L-shaped sectionals, loveseats, and chaise lounges in living; and 4-8 seater dining sets with matching benches and chairs. Named collections (Amaya, Bruno, Capri, Citron, Daisy, Kiara, Loren, Morrison, Maharaja, Rolex, Tivoli) give the catalogue a curated, designer feel despite its scale, helping customers navigate by style rather than getting lost in raw category listings.
Conversion mechanics are built directly into the storefront: countdown-timer sale banners, percentage-off campaigns (up to 60%), and city-specific delivery messaging for major metros all work to push browsing customers toward a decision. What Needed to Be Solved
